Randy ParksVolunteer Member: Rev. Randolph Parks is chaplain and manager of spiritual care services at Newton Medical Center/Atlantic health system, a position he has held since June 2004. He is a board-certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and has over 20 years of healthcare chaplaincy experience.
At Newton Medical Center, he serves as the vice chair for the hospital’s bio ethics committee and also supports Newton’s palliative care team. An ordained Baptist minister, Parks holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, a master’s of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a master’s of theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. His two-year chaplain’s residency and clinical training were at the Weil - Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Lennox Hill Hospital, NYC. |
Lesley-Ann Hix TommeyPast Moderator: Rev. Lesley-Ann Hix Tommey is CBF field personnel serving in New York City. Partnering closely with Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries in Hell’s Kitchen, Lesley-Ann coordinates safe support communities for women who have experienced the dual-traumas of domestic violence and homelessness. She is a native of North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and McAfee School of Theology.
Before being commissioned by CBF in 2017, Lesley-Ann has worked as a families minister, graphic designer, wedding photographer and intentional community minister. She loves taking photos, exploring NYC neighborhoods, practicing yoga and doing life with her husband, Blake. |
Dorothea LindseyModerator: Doretha Lindsay is the pastor of St Peter's Church of God in Philadelphia. Doretha received her MDiv from Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Pastoral Theology. She also has a background in business with an MBA and BS in Urban Ministry. In addition to her pastoral time at St Peters, Doretha has also taught classes at Community College of Philadelphia and worked in the health care field. Doretha brings a wealth of experience to BFN.

Antonio Vargas Jr.Moderator Elect: Antonio is a native of Southeastern Connecticut, serving as Pastor of Church of the City’s English Ministries, and is a Master of Divinity candidate at Yale University.
His passion and commitment to children and youth advocacy, education, justice, and worship embody his holistic approach and heartbeat for ministry: providing spaces where people are known and loved for total transformation. He was awarded Collegian of the Year, and was named by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as one of “25 Young Adults to Know”. |
