BFN AMbassadors prOGRAM
The Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast is a small and mighty region of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Our churches and individuals have deep faith and share intense care for the communities that they are a part of. We have diversity in every sense of the word and share the deep desire to see God's reign on Earth come through genuine love. Although we cherish our deep bonds, we know that the Lord is calling us to outstretch our arms to welcome and be transformed by more individuals and churches in the Northeast region of CBF which spans all the way from Maine to Pennsylvania. Given how vast our region is and how it can be difficult for us to get together, BFN is creating an opportunity for leaders to gather and invite individuals to meet with more regularity. We would like to invite 5 individuals across BFN to become Ambassadors of the great gift that is our Fellowship.
What does it mean to be an Ambassador?
BFN Ambassadors are individuals that will together create a strategy for relationship building and growth with individuals and churches interested in BFN and its existing members. BFN Ambassadors will reflect the diversity of culture, geographic area, and affinities within our Fellowship as well as create bridges to connect individuals and churches to one another, BFN, and CBF. We are looking for individuals who have an authentic love for gathering people as well as creating avenues to better resource those who need it.
What types of Ambassadors can there be?
Ambassadors can be dedicated to different types of demographics. For example, you can be an Ambassador to Students in the BFN Region, Chaplains in Pennsylvania, Latin/o/a/x Pastors in Rhode Island, Individuals in the Greater Boston area, or any other you can think of!
What is the commitment?
BFN Ambassadors will be asked to attend a 1.5 day Ideation and Expectations Gathering sometime in February/March where the parameters of what is expected will be decided together. There will be a minimum of bi-monthly virtual check-ins with the Coordinator as well as virtual Ambassador team meetings. Most of the cost for the initial Gathering will be covered in addition to a $500 stipend given to every Ambassador in order to alleviate costs of meetings over coffee/meals with those they are building relationship with. As this is a pilot program we are asking for a commitment of at least 1 year.
